Soon after I had returned the folded paper to the lady walking down Main Street with her friends in front of me who had just unobtrusively dropped it on the sidewalk & she thanked me & said "It's just a map", a little girl tugged on my sleeve & said "You dropped your keys, mister". Olympic Karma.
Met my sister at Trout Lake this afternoon to see the Van2010 Olympic torch relay roll by the throngs of screaming school kids, parents ,the elderly & lots of dogs. Although the air was heavy from a recent rainfall & the waft of BC bud but the flame seems to be bringing the community & the country together, albeit in a wave of homerism & jingoism. I will be working the games at Canada Hockey Place everyday during the Olympics & soaking up the spirit.
